I grew up next to the Potomac River.  While I lived in Waynewood, my friends lived in Collingwood, Riverside Estates, Morningside, Stratford Landing, Belle Haven and surrounds.  I got my start in real estate the old fashioned way, by bicycle.  I started school in St. Mary's in Alexandria and due to a missed bus had the opportunity to walk all the way down the Parkway from school to home. Quite an adventure.  I actually didn't mind missing the bus that much after that.  A summer stint as a delivery driver to the entire metropolitan area completed my knowledge of this market.

After high school, I moved to McLean and started my contracting business.  I became very familiar with Langley, Great Falls, Vienna, North Arlington, Falls Church and Cherrydale/Lorcom.  Along the way I have worked with some of the biggest builder developers in the area at that time.

Next came the adventure years overseas.  From travelling through the Sahara to crossing into the Artic Circle, from in front of and behind the Iron Curtain and all through the Middle East I did my best to see if there was anyplace that was as beautiful as where I grew up.  I even spent several years after returning in other parts of the United States looking for the same thing.  I hope you don't begrudge my use of the well worn phrase "There is no place like home.", because I speak from first hand experience.
